Here is a collection of my work as a programmer and UI designer, as well as previous work from my days as a graphic designer. By following the links below, you will find examples of my work in print and web design. For a look at my photography, please visit my photography gallery.
+ web (php, mysql, javascript, xml, ajax, flash)
credit.com I began working with credit.com in April 2008, working closely with the engineering team as a member of the technical staff, yet also 'owning' the front-end as the designated front-end developer. I also work closely with the director of communications and perform a variety of design and coding work (mainly xhtml/xml/css/javascript). Working here is great.
carbonharmony.com I built and designed the template for this site as a side project, though it is now handled by another developer who works on it full-time.
software2008.com Our design team was in a crunch when our deadline for this site was approaching, so my boss asked me to design the site for them. Which means I was the sole developer and designer for this project. I received the text for each page in word format, and grabbed the green part of the logo from software2007.com. I created the rest of the graphic elements, including the buttons, the navigation, and the textual part of the logo. Designing with code in mind made the site easier to build, and is reflected in the design by having a bit more of a systematic and direct look-and-feel, which works well in the corporate environment.
berlin.web2expo.com Web 2.0 Expo Berlin brings together the most innovative and successful internet industry figures and companies to share examples of business models, development paradigms and design strategies. Attendees from both the corporate and start-up worlds should attend to learn to tap the power of Web 2.0. I worked here as a developer as part of a four-person tech team. I still ocassionally work with TechWeb, as a part-time contractor.
www.interop.com Interop is the biggest IT Conference in the country, and acts as a place leaders in the industry to come together to exhibit new products, exchange knowledge, and discuss the future of the IT industry. I worked here as a developer as part of a four-person tech team. I still ocassionally work with TechWeb, as a part-time contractor.
www.mobilebusinessexpo.com Mobile Business Expo explores how to improve communication, processes and productivity through the strategic use of wireless technologies such as mobile devices, unified communications, mobile location services, mobile apps and data collection devices. I worked here as a developer as part of a four-person tech team. I still ocassionally work with TechWeb, as a part-time contractor.
www.voicecon.com VoiceCon Spring 2007 was the biggest, best and most newsworthy VoiceCon ever, with keynotes and major announcements from Avaya, Cisco, and Microsoft. I worked here as a developer as part of a four-person tech team. I still ocassionally work with TechWeb, as a part-time contractor.
www.enterprise2conf.com Enterprise 2.0 is a conference that looks at Web 2.0 technologies in the context of business. I worked here as a developer as part of a four-person tech team. I still ocassionally work with TechWeb, as a part-time contractor.
www.jerichaseferris.com This site is for an author who needed a website made from scratch to help her arrange speaking engagements at California schools. I offered to install a blog, and incorporate links to purchase her book on amazon.com, but she wasn't interested. Aside from presenting the content in an accessible fashion, her biggest concern was that the site not look busy.
www.patdoolittle.com I created this website for... yes, my mom, because she wanted to enter the King's Mountain Art Fair. A calendar featuring her artwork is being published and distributed internationally for 2008.
PHP Craps This page runs a PHP script that simulates Craps. I tried to incorporate design elements (line and color) reminiscent of a Craps table.
Here you can see raw code from this site:

+ print (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, quark...)
Here are some of the calendar covers I created while working for BrownTrout Publishers. I learned a lot about typography and hidden graphic features within photoshop, and airbrushed images to bring them to a professional, production-level standard. In the few years I was there, I designed well over 1,000 calendar covers. I worked on sales materials, brochures, print ads, and catalogs, and as an assistant to the web producer.
